Matric Farewell - 2018
The Matrics were resplendent in their finery as they stepped into a banquet hall, just as dazzling. It was a matric farewell befitting the elegant and gracious learners King Edward High School has honed, with over 15 years (PRR to G12) of quality education. We are talking of education in the broadest sense of the word – comprehensive and holistic.
These fine young men and women can confidently step out into the adult world knowing that they possess the academic acumen and the social skills to succeed – no more than that – to flourish and excel.
The theme of the evening was starry, starry night and little LED lights shone brightly from the trees, walls, ceilings, decorations and even the clothing of the Grade 11 hosts. The décor was beautiful and the Senior Primary staff are to be congratulated on a sterling job.
It was a memorable evening for all the right reasons. Self-discipline and grateful protocol were the order of the evening as parents, who made this all possible, enjoyed the entire evening with us.
The grand splendour of the occasion was perhaps best encapsulated by the gallery of approximately 1000 spectators on the pavilion, thoroughly enjoying the arrival of the celebrity stars.
