Senior Primary Tennis vs St Patricks College

On Tuesday, 4 February, the King Edward High School Senior Primary Tennis team travelled to Kokstad for their first match of the year against St Patricks College. A slightly different format was agreed upon whereby the first couples from each school would play each other in a best of fifteen match, whilst the second and third couples would play two sets each.

The first couple from King Edward, Justin Steyn and Lunathi Nyingwa played excellently and won their match 12-3. The second couple, Reinard Mulder and Umar Surti won their matches 6-1 and 5-2 respectively whilst the third couple, Caleb Sweetnam and Zian Jacobs also won both their matches 6-1 and 5-2. The King Edward Senior Primary Tennis team ultimately won the fixture 34 points to 9 and it was thus another very successful start to the season.
