KING EDWARD HIGH SCHOOL SCOOPS 22 MEDALS AT KZN CHAMPIONSHIPS
It was with great excitement that 34 athletes, coaches and parents travelled down, on Friday 03 November, to Durban for the KZN Championships at Kings Park. After a good night’s rest, spirits were high when we arrived at Kings Park Athletics Stadium. It was very hot and humid, but our athletes performed exceptionally well in spite of these conditions.
In total 22 medals were won.
- Cebo Zibi - Bronze for 100m Hurdles
- Sine Matam - Bronze for Shot Put and Silver in Discus
- Abubuhle Ntloko - Bronze for Shot Put
- Joshua Sweetnam - Bronze for Shot Put and Silver in Discus
- Zandri Jacobs - Bronze for Javelin
- Ethan Duminy - Silver for Javelin and Bronze for Discus
- Ngawo Sidaza - Silver for Javelin and Gold for Shot Put and Discus
- Trevor Mkhathi - Silver for Turbo Javelin and Shot Put
- Tristan Phizacklea - Silver for High Jump
- Karabo Sekese - Silver for Long Jump
- Anathi Madikizela - Bronze for Long Jump and Gold for Shot Put
- Caleb Sweetnam - Gold for Turbo Javelin
- Sasha Harris - Bronze for Discus
- Rebecca de Burgh - Silver for Shot Put and Gold for Discus
