On Friday the 9th of February, a team of learners from King Edward High School travelled to Maluti in order to take part in the South African State of the Province speaking competion. Kaden Duminy performed in the English First Additional Language category and Lelethu Nontwana performed in the Xhosa Home Language category, with very good speeches, however they were beaten by a strong set of competitors. It was left to Chulumanco Nyakambi and Aletta Sibi to hold the flag high for King Edward, which they did brilliantly, winning their language categories in English Home Language and Afrikaans Home Language respectively. Chulumanco Nyakambi and Aletta Sibi have now both advanced to the prestigious provincial finals of the competition which will be held in Bisho later this term.
