The First Rugby team, the u/16‘s and the u/14’s travelled to Sarel Cilliers High School on Friday, 16 February where they enjoyed some festival rugby.

On Saturday morning the teams played against their respective opponents. The u/14 side faced the hosts for their first game of the season. It was clear that the teams matched each other in terms of size, but we soon showed our attacking rugby. KEHS crossed the line three times in the first half, converting twice. The second half saw Sarel Cilliers come back hard and they scored an unconverted try. KEHS dug deep and came back at the end of the match with a final converted try leaving the score 26-5 in our favour. The First’s and u/16’s played with determination, giving of their best, but lost their matches.

Thank you to Sarel Cilliers for a wonderful festival where the games were played in good spirit.
