NETBALL AND HOCKEY CLINIC

On Saturday, despite the cold weather, KEHS successfully hosted our first netball and hockey clinic. A total of 80 keen netball players and 113 enthusiastic hockey players attended the clinic. Some participants came from as far as Umtata.

Hockey coaches Aiden Kok and Deidre Duminy did an amazing job in coaching basic skills and techniques to the beginner players, as well as the higher level skills for the more advanced players. Two KEHS scholars, Thanduluntu (provincial Umpire) and Unam (Level 1), presented a rules session, from which all players gained greatly. The netball players spent the day learning new skills from coaches Elsa and Esmarie Fouche. A huge thanks to our sports co-ordinator, Mrs du Randt, for organising this successful day. All in all it was a great day for regional hockey and netball, and of great benefit to all. King Edward High School is buzzing with exciting opportunities for growth and development.
