GRADE 3 TOUR - 2018

Early on a frosty 4 September, a very excited group of King Edward Grade three learners were bundled into three busses to start the long trip to Durban. After arriving at The Fig Tree and unhooking our trailers, we trundled over to the Durban Harbour. There we boarded the Sarie Marais, embarking on an exciting and educational trip around the harbour. We saw an enormous cargo ship which, according to our guide, carried way over a thousand Toyotas manufactured in South Africa and exported overseas. Afterwards we had a lovely lunch and stroll in Mitchell’s Park, ending the day with a movie and pizza.

On the second day the learners had the opportunity of a two and a half hour tour through uShaka Marine World. Here we saw sharks, fish and many other fascinating sea creatures. The tour culminated with an amazing dolphin show, after which we set off home. We are grateful for our bus drivers and teachers who looked after us.
