Grade R Bakery Visit
Our grade R learners paid a visit to the Rhino Bakery. There was great excitement as we all boarded the bus and headed down to Rhino. Uncle Ray, the store manager, and Uncle Wellington were there to welcome us. Then the fun started! Each one of us received a ball of dough which we then shaped into a gingerbread man. We decorated them and then sent them to the ovens. We were then taken on an interesting tour around the bakery, witnessing the mixing and baking of bread, cakes and other exciting baked goods. Then it was time to see our gingerbread masterpieces, which were in the large baking ovens. A few minutes later they were ready and we could make our way back to school, all very proud of ourselves. A heartfelt thank you to Rhino for always making this visit such a memorable one.
