Leading KEHS into the future and beyond

2019 is in full-swing and the school calendar has started with great excitement and expectation for what is to come. Ready to meet the year head-on and in good spirit, our 2019 monitors and prefects attended the annual KEHS leadership camp hosted by Sweetdale Adventure Camp in KZN.

Geneen holds that, “Leadership is practiced not so much in words as in attitude and actions…”. And the importance of guiding young leaders in their development is seen as an essential part of the leadership programme at KEHS. To that extent, we expose our young leaders to various dynamics and strategies that will enable them to eventually become well-rounded and value-adding citizens within our community.

Adventure, thinking and problem-solving strategies along with effective communication was the aim of the day. Mix in a good dose of fun, laughter and good food and you have what we call the KEHS leadership camp. Aided by the Sweetdale facilitators and teachers alike, our young leaders were tested, challenged and equipped to start facing the challenging environment of school leadership. We believe learning and growing should be fun, this year’s camp definitely provided this to all our learners and staff.

Thank you to the KEHS staff and Sweetdale Adventure Camp facilitators for a fantastic experience.
