Grade 7 Entrepreneur’s Day

On Tuesday, our Grade 7 learners showed their entrepreneurial flair during Entrepreneur’s Day - a key component of an EMS assessment. The event was a vibrant exhibition of creativity and innovation, with learners presenting a variety of imaginative business ideas and projects. From inventive product designs to compelling marketing strategies, our Grade 7 learners demonstrated skills and enthusiasm. The day proved to be a valuable learning experience for all involved.

JP & SP Spring Ball

Our Junior and Senior Phase learners had a delightful time at the Spring Ball on Thursday. With lots of fun, games and plenty of laughter, they danced the evening away and celebrated the arrival of spring in style.

Boys’ & Girls’ Soccer

On 5 September, our u/16 boys’ soccer team had an impressive match against St Monica’s, beating them 5-2. On Saturday, we travelled to the South Coast for fixtures against South City. Our u/16 boys' team won both their matches, defeating South City B 3-1 and South City A 3-2. Our 1st boys’ team also performed strongly, with a convincing 5-1 win over Waterfall and a 2-1 victory against South City. Our u/16 girls faced closely contested matches, drawing 1-1 against Waterfall College 1st and narrowly losing 0-1 to South City 1st.

Amanzimtoti 1st Rugby 7’s Tournament

At the Amanzimtoti 1st Rugby 7’s Tournament on 7 September, our KEHS rugby team delivered a commendable performance with a junior squad. We beat Gelofte with a score of 19-12, but lost to Kloof. In a closely contested match against Kuswag, we were narrowly defeated 17-19. Despite the mixed results, our boys showed great determination and skill.

Boys’ Hockey

Last week, our SP boys' hockey teams faced a series of competitive matches. On 4 September, both our u/11 and u/13 teams had challenging games and were defeated by KJS. Our teams also competed in the Lynford Boys' Hockey Festival on Saturday, where they encountered tough opponents. Our u/9 team had a mixed set of outcomes, winning 1, drawing 2 and losing the rest. Our u/11 and u/13 teams similarly experienced a blend of draws and losses, with each team drawing 3 matches and losing 2. Overall, our teams gained valuable experience and opportunities for growth through these matches.
