High School Sport
The final high school fixtures against Amanzimtoti provided plenty of excitement and a wonderful atmosphere around the school. We were delighted to host them, and it proved to be a fitting conclusion to what has been an incredibly busy winter sport season. Our high school teams rose to the occasion, producing some excellent performances and ensuring that the season ended on a high note.
In netball, both our teams finished the season strongly, with our U16 girls defeating Amanzimtoti 14–9 before our 1st team claimed a 20–17 victory. Our hockey teams displayed tremendous defensive discipline, with both our U16 and 1st team matches ending in goalless draws. On the rugby field, our U14 boys faced a tough challenge, losing 5–28, while our U16 side battled bravely to earn a deserved 12–12 draw. The highlight of the day came in the 1st team rugby fixture, where our boys produced a thrilling 27–23 victory to close the season in spectacular fashion.

Our SP teams enjoyed fixtures against KPS on Monday. In netball, our U11 girls beat KPS 4–0, while our U13 team impressed with an 8–2 victory. On the hockey field, our U11 side produced a dominant display to win 5–0. However, our U13 hockey team narrowly lost 1–0. Rugby proved more challenging against strong opposition, with both our U11 and U13 teams losing their matches.

Our youngest hockey players faced Focused on Tuesday. Our U7 team recorded a 1–0 victory, our U8 side secured a 3–0 win, and our U9 team rounded off the day with a convincing 6–0 triumph.
At the SPC Wacky Winter Festival on Saturday, both our hockey and rugby teams competed with enthusiasm.
In hockey, our U7 team enjoyed the tournament with one victory, one draw and one loss. Our U8 side was outstanding, winning all three of their matches and remaining unbeaten throughout the festival. Our U9 team showed great character, winning two matches, drawing one and losing two. Our U13 team also competed strongly, winning two matches, drawing one and losing one. The standout hockey performance came from our U11 team. They were simply exceptional throughout the tournament, remaining unbeaten with six victories and one draw. After progressing confidently through the group stages, they secured a semi-final victory before defeating UPS 3–0 in the final. They finished first overall and were deservedly crowned champions of their division.
Our rugby teams also enjoyed a successful festival. Our U7 boys completed an unbeaten day, winning four matches and drawing two. Our U8 side matched that achievement, remaining undefeated with four wins and three draws. Although our U9 team faced some strong opposition, they continued to compete bravely and earned a draw along the way. Our U11 boys faced a challenging section but showed perseverance, claiming one victory despite tough losses. Our U13 rugby team delivered one of the performances of the festival. They won every match they played, including a dominant semi-final victory over UPS before defeating SMCS 12–5 in the final. Finishing first overall, they were worthy champions.
