KEHS Boys Hockey

On 16 August the King Edward Boys Hockey tournament was once again a success. Several schools from the area took part and some great hockey was played.

The King Edward results were as follows:

The u7’s won 3, drew 2 and lost 1 match. The u8’s won 3 matches and drew 1. The u9 A team won 1 match and drew 1; the B team won all 3 their matches while the C team won 1 and lost 1 match. The u10 A team won 2, lost 1 and drew 1 match; the B team drew 1 and lost 2 matches.

The u11 A team drew 1 and won 2 games; the B team drew 1 and lost 1 match. The u13 A team won 2 and lost 1 match; the B team won 1 match, drew 1 and lost 1; the C team lost both their matches.

The u13 A team also participated in Eston’s u13 8-a-side tournament over the weekend where they played five matches. Their first match was against Winterton, which they drew with 1 goal each. In the second match KEHS beat Piet Retief 3-0. Thereafter KEHS went down 1-2 to Eston. KEHS won their match 1-0 against Clarendon and beat Athlone 3-0 in their last match.
