August 6 found forty-five very excited Grade R learners experiencing their very first official school bus trip. We travelled down to the South Coast to watch The Lion King at the Shelley Beach Mall. We decided to take a quick nibble under the beautiful palm trees on Margate beach before embarking on our journey to Shelley Beach. For some children this was the first visit to the movie house and to crown it all, in 3D! When everyone was kitted out with glasses, popcorn and juice...it was movie time!

The teachers absolutely loved watching the facial expressions and the instinctive flinches as 3D birds, insects and animals came flying and running our way. It was a wonderfully beautiful movie for all to see, with amazing scenes and of course an amazing storyline. Our babies had such a great time! Thanks to Kevin and Richard, we arrived back home safely, exhausted but exhilarated.
