100% King Edward High School

With much jubilation and celebration, we received the outstanding Matric results of the 2024 Class. For the fourth year in a row, KEHS achieved a 100% pass rate. It was the quality of the results, however, that raised the eyebrows and drew the greatest admiration. Our devoted educators produced a 100% pass rate in every subject, but also 93 distinctions spread across all subjects, but one. The bachelors rate of 91,5 % was most impressive. 89% of the marks achieved were above 50%, 72% of marks above 60%, 52% above 70% and 28% of the results were distinctions, above 80%.

No fewer than 16 candidates scored three or more distinctions with Onkabetse Kwili obtaining a full house of 7 distinctions. The Dux of the school will be formally announced after re-marking processes but Tshikaro Telile is surely a strong candidate with 5 subjects above 90%. The following matrics achieved 3 or more distinctions: Onkabetse Kwili, Unako Mbolekwa, Trevor Mkhathi, Brian Muleya, Chulumanco Nyamende, Tina Nyembezi, Reitumetsi Pakkies, Tshikaro Telile, Abongile Tenene, Zenande Zihle, Someleze Gqoli, Mamolikeng Lebusa, Ngcali Mahlulo, Ukho Mbambela, Shamaa Siddhapuriya and Kamohelo Thekiso. The class of 2025 has its work cut out for itself to emulate these fine achievements.
