KEHS shines at the Alfred Nzo West Prize-giving

At the annual Alfred Nzo West Prize-Giving on 5 February, KEHS was honoured as the overall best-performing school in the district. A total of 16 awards were made to KEHS. Perhaps the most gratifying aspect was that nine of our matric educators were recognised as the best in the district in their respective subjects. Special recognition was also made to KEHS being the top school in the gateway subjects of Mathematics and Physical Sciences. We also received an award for delivering high-quality results with 92% bachelors rate and were named the most consistently performing school. Two of our Grade 11 learners, Areahe Kwili and Reinard Mulder, were named among the district’s Top 10. We are especially proud of our teachers who were recognised as the best in their respective subjects: Mrs C de Kock (English Home Language), Mrs E Prinsloo (Afrikaans FAL), Mr N Ndlovu (History), Ms S Höll (CAT), Mr M Philip (Physical Sciences), Mr B Nyathi (Mathematics), Ms T Maphosa (Accounting), Mrs L Nyathi (Life Sciences), and Mrs R van Dyk (Maths Literacy).

KEHS Interhouse Gala

On the same day, our swimmers displayed their talent at the KEHS Interhouse Gala. It was a thrilling and fun-filled event, with learners cheering enthusiastically and giving their all in the pool. Graham House dominated – winning both the Primary and High School divisions. Adding to the excitement, Melville House won the coveted Spirit Cup for their enthusiasm and support.
