U7 - U9 Mini Cricket vs BVC
Our mini-cricket teams delivered strong performances against BVC on 11 February. Our U7’s posted a total of 38/4, while BVC managed 15/4 with half their overs remaining. The U8’s scored 40/3, limiting BVC to 17/5. The U9’s reached 38/1, while BVC fell short with 20/3.
HS Tennis
On the same day, our high school tennis team faced SPC and KC in a competitive match as KEHS finished with 24 points, while KC ended on 43, and SPC secured the win with 53.
1st & U16 Hockey & Netball vs BVC
Our netball and hockey teams delivered dominant performances against BVC. Our U16 netball team had a 15-6 win, while our first team was successful with 33-6. The hockey teams were equally impressive, with the U16’s securing a 6-0 win and the first team a 5-0 triumph.
U11 & U13 Cricket vs SPC
On 12 March, our U11 and U13 cricket teams took on SPC. The U11’s posted 47/10 in their 20 overs, but SPC chased the target in 14 overs, finishing on 48/5 to win by five wickets. The U13’s also faced a tough challenge, with SPC securing a victory by four wickets.

U11 Cricket vs KPS
The cricket action continued on 14 February as KEHS played against KPS. Our U11 team put up a total of 68/8 in their 20 overs which KPS reached in 16 overs, winning by six wickets.
Sarel Cilliers’ Hockey, Rugby & Netball Festival
The Sarel Cilliers’ Hockey, Rugby, and Netball Festival on 14 and 15 February saw KEHS compete against tough opponents.
In rugby, our first team secured a 31-19 win against Sarel Cilliers’ second team but were outplayed by Newcastle. The U16’s had mixed results, defeating Harvest High 31-0 but falling to Amanzimtoti 5-14. The U14 team put up a strong fight, edging past Amanzimtoti 22-17 but Vryheid proved too strong.
Our first hockey team had a good tournament, defeating Sarel Cilliers 2-0, drawing 0-0 with Greytown Girls, losing 0-1 to Newcastle High, and winning 3-0 against Estcourt Girls. Their efforts earned them third place in their pool.
Our first team netball finished fourth out of 16 teams. They secured a 15-9 win over Estcourt but suffered losses to Ferrum (9-20), Newcastle (8-16), and Sarel Cilliers (10-16). Standout players Mateke Matsoele and Elona Mlobeli were named Players of the Match in their respective games.
