HS Tennis vs KC

On 17 February, our HS tennis team faced KC in an exciting match. Although the result did not favour our team, the match provided valuable insights and experience for the players. Congratulations to KC for winning with 43 points.

Focused Public Speaking Competition

Six of our learners participated in the Focused High School Public Speaking Competition, where eight schools competed. In the GET category (Gr 8 and 9), Sefika Lekena (Gr 8) delivered an impressive performance, securing 5th place. Meanwhile, in the FET category (Gr 10 to 12), Faith Ntaote (Gr 12), with her exceptional speaking skills, earned 3rd place. The competition was a valuable experience for all participants, providing them with an opportunity to refine their public speaking abilities and represent our school with pride.

Mini-Cricket vs SPC

On 18 February, our mini-cricket teams played against SPC. In the U7 match, we were victorious with a calculated margin of 7.5 runs. In the U8 match, we scored 29 without losing a wicket, while SPC posted 24/2. This strong performance resulted in a 17-run win for us, using the mini-cricket method of calculation.

SP Cricket vs KJS

Our U11 and U13 cricket teams also played against KJS on 21 February. Unfortunately, the U11 match was abandoned due to rain, while the U13 team, playing at home, suffered a 4-wicket loss to KJS.

JP Hardball Cricket vs KJS

On 22 February, our U9 hardball cricket team faced KJS at home. We batted first and posted a score of 80/6 in 20 overs. KJS managed to chase down the total in 16.2 overs, scoring 83/3 and winning the match by 7 wickets.

SKZNCSSA Provincial Swimming

At the SKZNCSSA Provincial Swimming event, held on 22 February at Glenwood, our swimmers put on an outstanding performance as part of the Durban South team. Qiana Haddon-Davies excelled, securing 1st place in the 25m freestyle, 2nd place in the 25m butterfly, and 2nd place in the 25m backstroke. Leah da Silva and Clinae Strydom both demonstrated impressive skills, finishing 4th in the 50m butterfly in their respective age groups.

KEHS Ladies Breakfast

The KEHS Ladies Breakfast on Saturday morning was a wonderful event, where the ladies gathered to enjoy a delicious breakfast together. During the event, Dr. K. Harrison gave an insightful and informative talk on menopause, providing valuable knowledge and sparking meaningful discussions.
