U12 – U13 SKZN Rugby Team

We extend congratulations to seven of our young rugby players who were selected for the Southern KwaZulu-Natal rugby team. The selected players are Devonté van Vollenhoven, Azoma Mkolokotho, Luhle Manci, Sibusiso Nkumbesi, Snendyebo Mbobo, Khalalelo Lebenya, and Miyolo Mfenyana. As part of the SKZN team, they participated in the U12–U13 KZN Rugby Trials held from 22 to 24 May.

JP Hockey & Rugby vs KJS

Our JP hockey and rugby teams travelled to KJS for a series of matches on 27 May. In hockey, our U7 team drew 2–2, our U8 team won 3–0, and the U9 main game ended 1–0 in our favour. In rugby, our U7 and U8 teams lost their matches, however, our U9 team secured a 40–35 victory.

JP Netball vs Matat Primary

On 29 May, our JP netball teams hosted Matat Primary School in a series of home matches. Our U7 team secured a 1–0 win, our U8 team beat them 2–0 and our U9 team had a 4–0 victory.

U13 Rugby vs KPS

Our U13 rugby team faced a 0–45 defeat against KPS, on 28 May. The match provided valuable experience for our young players and they remain committed to improving.

EG Boys’ Hockey & Netball Challenge

On 30 May, we participated in the EG Boys' Hockey & Netball Challenge at St Patrick’s College. Our 1st netball team delivered an outstanding performance, winning all four of their matches: 13–3 against SPC, 9–3 against KC, 14–1 against Faithway, and 9–5 against St Thomas, securing 1st place in the tournament.

Our boys' hockey team drew with Faithway (1-1) and SPC (0-0) and lost 0–2 to KC.

HS Hockey, Netball & Rugby vs Southcity

We hosted Southcity Christian School in a series of high school sports fixtures on Saturday.

Our netball teams delivered commendable performances. Our U16 team secured a 17–13 victory, while our 1st team triumphed with a 28–20 win.

In hockey, our U16 team played to a 0–0 draw and our 1st team faced a challenging match, ending with a 2–1 loss.

Our rugby teams had a successful day. Our U14 team secured a 22–19 victory, our U16 team dominated with a 47–0 win, and our 1st team triumphed 19–15. These victories underscore the strength and teamwork of the KEHS rugby squads.

JP & SP Wacky Winter Festival

On Saturday, our JP and SP hockey and rugby teams participated in the annual Wacky Winter Festival hosted by St Patrick’s College.
In hockey, our U7 teams achieved three wins and three losses. The U8 hockey team concluded the day with two wins, two draws, and one loss, while our U9 teams finished with one win, one draw, and two losses.

In rugby, our U7 teams had a competitive day with two wins, one draw, and one loss. Our U8 teams faced tough opponents, securing one win and two losses. Our U9 teams concluded their matches with one win and one draw, though our U11 and U13 rugby teams experienced defeats.
