MEC rewards excellence at King Edward High School

The glittering MEC Excellence Awards were held at Hemmingways Hotel in East London. Ms Jaftha was one of three novice educators to be recognised for her dedication to the profession and enhancing her educational skills. Both the Principal, Mr Harrison and King Edward High School received awards for consistently achieving the best NEC results in the District.

U7 – U9 Netball vs KJS

On Thursday, our JP netball teams hosted KJS for matches. Our U7, U8, and U9 teams each secured victories, with scores of 2–0, 1–0, and 1–0, respectively.

U7 – U9 Hockey & Rugby vs KPS

On 5 May, our JP hockey and rugby teams had matches against KPS. Our hockey teams lost their matches, together with our U7 and U8 rugby teams who put up a strong fight. Our U9 rugby team, however, fought hard and beat KPS comfortably 60–5.

KJS SP Rugby & Hockey Festival

On Saturday, our SP sports teams participated in the KJS SP Rugby & Hockey Festival. Our U11 rugby team won 5–0 against UPS and drew 5–5 with SPC. Our U13 rugby team lost 0–10 to KPS but bounced back with a 10–0 win over SMCS.

In hockey, our U10 team lost to KJS and KPS but beat IPS 4–0. Our U11’s drew with KJS, beat SPC 1-0 but lost 0–1 to KPS. Our U13 team had a strong showing, winning 2–0 against IPS and SMCS and drawing 0–0 with KPS.
