KEHS Learners Shine at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Oral History Competition

Eight learners from KEHS were selected to represent the district at the Provincial Inkosi Albert Luthuli Oral History Competition, held in East London from 24 to 27 July.

The following learners were chosen for the Young Historian category: Ayabonga Ramashoai, Ntlantla January, Abulele Sontangane, Iviwe Moyo and Sisipho Jija. In the Storytelling category, Sefika Lekena was selected; Molemo Sethakha for Story Writing; and Moundain Saliwavikwa for Letter Writing.

We are especially proud of Abulele and Ntlantla, who secured first places in their respective grades and will go on to represent the province at national level. Iviwe achieved second place, while Sisipho, Ayabonga, Moundain and Sefika were awarded third place in their respective categories. Well done to all!

KEHS Learners Represent South Coast KZN at Rhino Week Rugby Camp

We are also proud of nineteen of our learners who were selected to represent the South Coast KwaZulu-Natal (SKZN) High School Rugby Team at the prestigious Rhino Week Touring Camp. The event took place from 1 to 5 July 2025 in Vanderbijlpark, Johannesburg, and brought together some of the most promising young rugby talent from across the country.

The following learners proudly represented KEHS in the SKZN team: Akhanani Kama, Luvo Mvimbi, Bokamoso Khiba, Mihle Sijeku, Luthando Mxhosa, Ruri Mswazi, Lwandle Ndaba, Oreboloke Moorosi, Ngcali Matheza, Kamva Gcelu, Iminathi Ntshobane, Ibenathi Mantshule, Junior Mncadi, Oratiloe Ramabitle, Lehakwe Pheko, Wyatt Jacquire, Awonke Vabaza, Ledia Seliane and Alizwa Shibani.

Their selection reflects the hard work, commitment, and passion they have shown on the field. Congratulations to each of them!

We are equally proud to have had three of our staff members involved at this high level of school rugby: Mr Anthony Suddes served as the U19 Assistant Coach, Mr Quinton Haddon-Davies was the U16 Head Coach, and Mr Deon van Dyk took on the role of U15 Team Manager.
