KING EDWARD LEARNERS WIN SOPA AWARDS

On Saturday 17 March, Aleta Sibi and Chulumanco Nyakambi participated in the State of the Province speaking competition at the Eastern Cape Parliament in Bisho. The two learners were ready to face the daunting competition featuring some of the best public speakers from all over the province. Both learners did brilliantly in their respective language sections with Chulumanco Nyakambi coming second in the English Home Language section and Aleta Sibi winning the Afrikaans Home Language section. In addition Aleta Sibi was the overall winner of the event - a superb achievement considering her very tough opposition. Both girls proved just how strong King Edward High School is at public speaking.
