RUGBY VS GLENWOOD

The u/14 rugby side of KEHS faced the toughest opposition of the season thus far when we played the u/14 B team of Glenwood this past Saturday. It was clear from the start that it was going to be a challenging fixture. KEHS defended brilliantly and only conceded two penalties right up to the end of the first half. However, all the pressure that Glenwood was inflicting paid off and they scored a try at halftime. The score was 11-0 in Glenwood’s favour. KEHS bounced back in the second half, scoring a try of our own.

The score remained 11-5 for a while and it was KEHS’ turn to put pressure on Glenwood. Glenwood was definitely the better team of the day and scored two converted tries at the end to earn a well-deserved victory of 25-5. The KEHS boys played with heart and determination and we are proud of them.

Our First Rugby team also played Glenwood on Saturday against their fourth team. We knew it would be difficult and by the end of the first half it was seven all. Due to the long season behind us we drew on our fitness reserves to thoroughly trounce the Glenwood team with a victory of 38-12.
