KEHS News - 19 January 2026
A Bright Start to 2026
The start of a new year always brings renewed energy and excitement and 2026 is no exception. With new grades, new phases, new learners, new educators and many new young faces joining our community, we extend a warm welcome to everyone. We look forward to a year filled with growth, achievement and shared success as we continue to build on the strong foundations of KEHS. Our vision for 2026 is to rekindle the utmost dedication and passion for the school.
Matric Results – Class of 2025
We are proud to share the Matric results of the Class of 2025. For the fifth consecutive year, KEHS achieved a 100% pass rate. This earned us an honourable mention in the DBE School Performance report.
Our educators once again achieved a 100% pass rate in all subjects, but one, with learners earning 68 distinctions across a range of subjects. The Bachelor’s pass rate of 86.27% reflects the consistent academic standards at our school.
While the Dux of the School will be formally announced after the completion of the re-marking process, Areahe Kwili is a strong candidate with six distinctions.
We acknowledge the following learners who achieved three or more distinctions: Areahe Kwili (6), Unathi Koyana (5), Zamatolo Tuku (4), Emihle Gebuza (3), Mihle Mbangeni (3), Reinhard Mulder (3), Bukho Mvulana (3) and Ledia Seliane (3).
Congratulations to the Class of 2025 on these outstanding results. We wish them well in their future endeavours.
Monitors’ Leadership Camp

From 16 to 18 January, our school monitors attended a leadership camp aimed at developing confidence, teamwork and essential leadership skills. The camp provided an enriching and memorable experience for all who participated.
Through activities such as raft building, a treasure hunt, wall climbing, canoeing and archery, the monitors were challenged both mentally and physically. These activities encouraged effective communication, co-operation, trust and perseverance, while pushing learners beyond their comfort zones and helping them grow in confidence.
The camp reinforced the values of true leadership - listening to others, encouraging teamwork, taking responsibility and leading by example. Our monitors returned to school not only with wonderful memories, but also with valuable lessons that will guide them in their leadership roles and personal lives.
We extend our sincere thanks to the educators and camp organisers for making this experience possible.
We look forward to an exciting and successful year ahead at KEHS.
