KEHS News - 02 February 2026

Our U11 and U13 cricket teams have been busy recently, taking part in a series of fixtures against SPC, UPS, St Mary’s and KPS. While results were mixed, the matches provided valuable experience and showed encouraging signs as the season continues.

Our U11 and U13 teams faced strong opposition from SPC on 19 January. In the U11 fixture, KEHS bowled first, restricting SPC to 117 for four from 20 overs. In reply, KEHS batted well to reach 88 for five, ultimately falling 29 runs short. Our U13’s also bowled with discipline, limiting SPC to 117 for nine, but found runs harder to come by and were bowled out for 73.

On 23 January, our U11’s played UPS, posting 72 for six from their 20 overs. UPS chased the target efficiently, reaching the total without loss. Our U13’s faced a challenging match, with UPS scoring 122 for five. KEHS responded positively with the bat, reaching 98 for six, but were unable to close the gap.

There were improved results against St Mary’s on 26 January. Our U11’s bowled first, restricting St Mary’s to 89 for three. KEHS then chased the target confidently, reaching the total after 15 overs for the loss of one wicket to secure a nine-wicket victory. Our U13’s followed this up with a strong performance, bowling St Mary’s out for 97 for six before reaching the target in the tenth over, again winning by nine wickets.

Our U11’s faced KPS on 30 January, scoring 73 for eight after batting first. KPS reached the target after 16 overs, winning by six wickets.

Both teams have displayed teamwork and a willingness to learn. These fixtures have provided important opportunities for development and our players will look to build on this experience in the upcoming matches.
