It was another busy and successful week for KEHS sport, with our teams competing in rugby, hockey, netball and chess across all age groups.
Our youngest players enjoyed an exciting afternoon against SPC on 12 May. Our U7 hockey girls opened with a win, while the 7-man tag rugby fixtures saw both the U7 and U8 teams draw. The U9 contact rugby match was a thrilling high-scoring contest.
Our netball girls delivered excellent performances against Cedarville GI Primary, with both the U11 (10–1) and U13 (15–2) teams recording convincing victories through strong teamwork and accurate shooting. It was also a highly successful day for our SP teams against SPC. Our U11 and U13B rugby teams secured dominant wins, while our hockey teams impressed with victories for the U11A (12–0), U11B (5–2) and U13 (4–0) teams.
Our high school teams continued the momentum with excellent results against SPC. Both our U16 and 1st netball teams secured comfortable wins, beating SPC 28–3 and 40–10 respectively. Our U15 (14–5), U16 (10–8) and 1st XV (33–17) rugby teams all claimed victories in competitive matches. Our chess team also enjoyed a solid 12–5 win to round off a successful afternoon.

On 14 May, our JP teams faced tough opposition from KPS in rugby, hockey and netball. Although results were mixed, our players worked hard and played with good spirit throughout the day.
The Ball in the Berg Rugby and Hockey Festival on 15 and 16 May was a fantastic experience for our U7 to U13 players. Our U11 hockey team enjoyed an unbeaten run at the festival with a number of impressive victories, including a 5–0 win over UPS1. Our U13 hockey girls also performed strongly against quality opposition. In rugby, our U13 team had an outstanding festival, winning all of their matches convincingly, including victories over SPC (33–0), Athlone (14–0), Underberg (38–0) and Lynford (10–0). Our U11 rugby side also performed well throughout the festival, showing great attacking play. Among the younger age groups, our U7 and U8 hockey teams remained unbeaten and produced consistent performances throughout the festival, while our rugby teams also enjoyed several good results.

Our high school teams ended the week with several impressive performances against Gelofte and Port Natal. In hockey, our U16 girls drew 0–0 with Gelofte before securing a convincing 4–0 win over Port Natal, while our 1st team beat Gelofte 3–1 and Port Natal 3–0. Our U16 netball team also enjoyed an excellent day, beating Gelofte 20–16 and Port Natal 29–3. Our 1st netball team bounced back well after a tough match against Gelofte to defeat Port Natal 15–3. In rugby, both our U15 (26–7) and 1st XV (12–0) teams finished the day with solid wins over Port Natal after more challenging opening fixtures against Gelofte.
