KEHS Grade 11’s study in nature
At the end of last term the Grade 11 learners from King Edward High School had the privilege of visiting the Umgeni Valley Nature Reserve and Education Centre for a few days. There they were immersed in a fun-filled, highly educational and totally satisfying experience in nature. Knowledge learned in class was put to good use and new terms and skills were acquired. An orienteering race put their mapwork skills to the test and a lesson on geomorphology formed a rock solid foundation for the geography students. “Nature preservation, protection and proper use” were also topics that were tackled.
Thank you to the staff of Umgeni Valley Nature Reserve for such an amazing trip!
