Sisonke Athletics

King Edward hosted the Sisonke Athletics meeting last Saturday and we enjoyed an excellent day of sport. Thank you to everyone involved in ensuring the success of the event. An amazing total of 40 KEHS athletes will be selected to the Sisonke District Team. Of the 15 records broken on the day, KEHS athletes accounted for 5.

Congratulations to Bonesa Ramakoai who broke the Boys u9 60m and Robyn Williams who equaled the Girls u12 High Jump record. Joshua Sweetnam added an incredible 1,75m to the Boys u12 Shotput record and Tristan Phizacklea improved the Boys u13 High Jump record by 5cm. Finally Ngawo Sidaza improved the u13 Boys Javelin record by 5,75m.

We strive to perform our duty in the knowledge that we are shaping young people who will, in the future, carry the responsibility for the survival of our nation.
