Annual Scottburgh Festival
Saturday, 10 March, saw three of our King Edward High School first teams participate in the annual Scottburgh Festival. The first team netball girls played games against Treverton, Kuswag and Southcity. We lost all three games, but the girls played very well and gained a lot of experience. The scores were: versus Treverton (6-2), Kuswag (14-1) and Southcity (5-3).
The first hockey girls also played three matches on the day and won two and drew one. The scores were: Werda (1-0), New Forest (2-0) and Creston (0-0). This bodes well for the rest of the season.
The first rugby boys played a game at the festival as well. It was both a tough and physical game played at a high pace. Our boys showed a lot of courage and determination but sadly Kingsway beat us 17-0.
