Tennis vs St Patrick’s College

On Monday, 18 February the King Edward Senior Primary Tennis side travelled to Kokstad to play their second match of the season against St Patrick’s College. KEHS started well and built a solid lead after the first round of matches, winning all 3 of them. In the second round of matches KEHS built on their lead by winning 2 of the 3 matches. Thus, by the third and final round of matches KEHS had built a big enough lead for it to be mathematically impossible to lose. However, KEHS did not let up and won all 3 of their final round matches. This resulted in a 49 points to 14 victory for KEHS.

Then on Wednesday, 20 February, the King Edward High School 1st tennis side travelled to Kokstad to play against Kokstad College (KC). The first round of matches were a closely contested affair with KEHS edging it by 6 points. The second and third round of matches were also very closely contested but KEHS were able to build a 16 point lead going into the final round of matches. However, it was still mathematically possible for Kokstad to win. KEHS once again took again edged the final round of matches to win the fixture by 58 points to 38. This was another successful fixture for KEHS but credit must be given to Kokstad College who managed to put up a much-improved performance having lost to KEHS by 61 points to 15 in the previous fixture.
