KEHS represented at Menlo / Grey College Athletics trials
During the first weekend of the month, 15 King Edward High School athletes attended the Menlo / Grey College Athletics Trials in Pietermaritzburg. They performed very well at this event.
The top results were as follows:
In the u13 age group, Tristan Phizacklea came first in high jump and Ngawo Sidiza second in discus. Retshe Khiba (u14) came second in discus. Rebecca de Burgh (u14) earned a second place in shot put and won the discus event. She also set a new record at 32,10m! Caleb Vincent (u14) earned a third place in the 400m event. Kayla Harris (u16) came first in all three her events: shot put, discus and javelin. Aaron Lombard (u16) took first places in shot put and discus and set a new discus record with an unbelievable 50,81m! Ashwin Jood came first in his 400m race and second in the 200m race.
