KEHS Tennis reigns
During the past few weeks the King Edward High School Tennis Teams have travelled to Kokstad to meet the Kokstad schools on their home turf.
The Primary School Team played against Kokstad Junior School on 22 August. KEHS started well by winning five matches in the first two rounds. They continued to control the encounter by winning another six matches in the last two rounds. This ensured King Edward a comfortable win of 57-39.
On 24 August the High School Team played against St Patricks. King Edward dominated on the tennis court winning four of the five rounds, giving KEHS a resounding victory of 107-18.
On 7 September the High School Team came up against Kokstad College at the Kokstad Tennis Club in their last match of the year. KEHS sailed through the opening round of matches, winning all four. This dominance continued through the second, third and fourth rounds where KEHS continued to win all the matches. By beating Kokstad College 66-15, the KEHS Tennis Team remained unbeaten for a second year in a row.
Not to be outdone, our primary school players got the better of St Patricks in their fixture winning 29:16.
