Eisteddfod

On August 19, a group of King Edward students went to Port Shepstone to participate in the Hibiscus Eisteddfod hosted by Creston College. The students presented their poems and songs to the adjudicators and enjoyed the positive feedback given to them after each performance. The students walked away with bronze, silver and gold certificates in the various categories. Rebecca De Burgh received two gold certificates in the Poetry and Vocal Solo categories. The students enjoyed the experience and are looking forward to participating in more Eisteddfods in the future.

KEHS First Soccer Team

The team have enjoyed a successful season thus far, playing four games and winning three of them. The first game against Focus was nerve-racking, but this did not stop the boys from playing a good game, winning 2-1. The next game was against one of their toughest competitors, St Monica's. This game the KEHS boys won again, 2-1. With this victory the team’s confidence grew tremendously. Their next game was against Bergview College, and although it was not one of their better games, they won 1-0. The last game they played was less successful and ended with a 2-3 loss to Kokstad College. But so far the season has been an excellent one. Keep up the good footwork boys!
